Hulu

Recieved this email today:
************
Hello from the Hulu team!

We wanted to thank you for your interest in our private beta. Starting today, you can use the following temporary login and password to access http://www.hulu.com.
.....
************
About a week or two ago, I registered to be a Beta tester. Naturally, I was overjoyed to be given this opportunity. Oh wait... What is Hulu, you asked? From Wikipedia:
Hulu is an online video on demand service that is also expected to offer video sharing.[1] The service is a joint venture of NBC Universal and News Corp.
.....
The service offers full-length episodes of NBC and FOX television programs, including shows from the Bravo, Fuel TV, FX, Sci Fi, Style, Sundance, and Oxygen channels. Hulu also offers selected movies while also accepting user-submitted videos in direct competition with YouTube.

So I quickly went to the site, signed up with the temporary password, changed the password and then started to browse for the videos. My joy was shortlived. Everytime I clicked on a video, I got this message:
Unfortunately, this video is not currently available in your country or region. We apologize for the inconvenience.

WTF?!? Aiyah, I discovered later on that this service is only available to users from US. They never mentioned that during the Beta signup... So sad...

Wikipedia had this:
Hulu's slogan of "anywhere, anytime" has drawn criticism from users, because content on Hulu is currently only available to users in the United States. Users of the beta are shown the following message when accessing the site outside of the United States: "Unfortunately, this video is not currently available in your country or region. We apologize for the inconvenience".

Hulu claims on its FAQ page that it is working on making its content accessible worldwide. This requires clearing the rights for each show or film in each specific region, a lengthy process.
